Well, it’s been around eight months since we took this trip, and I am slowly making my way through these posts. I swear I will be quicker in the future because we are only a few weeks away from our next trip… HA! As much as I love reliving this trip while writing, thankfully, I am almost done. Without further ado, here is our last full day in London!
First, for my other England recaps…
If you missed my Ireland recaps…
Oh, London… You sure have won our hearts over. Pete and I found ourselves looking around and picturing ourselves living here. Who else does that? I swear we have a similar conversation every time we travel somewhere new.
Where we ate
Pete and I slept in a bit this morning and enjoyed a slow one. Once again, Pete ran out to the adorable bakery around the corner called Fortitude Bakehouse and grabbed a fun treat that I got to enjoy while I got ready.
We snacked here and there for lunch. We started off with some refreshing smoothies at the Sky Garden and then snacked more at Cucumber Alley. Here’s a cute photo of Pete. I didn’t realize he had his tongue out until just this moment!
We had no reservations for dinner, but we were both craving Mexican food. However, we quickly learned that Mexican cuisine is less common in Europe than in America. We hunted all over the web and finally found one that looked good. We walked all the way there just to find out it didn’t exist anymore. Sigh…
Fortunately, we were near an adorable area of the city called Fitzrovia and found this delicious greek restaurant called Meraki Restaurant & Bar. Nothing like greek food with my greek boy. 🙂
What we did
On this day, we had tickets for the Sky Garden. This rooftop view is free, but I highly recommend reserving your ticket beforehand because the line is quite long to enter.
Our afternoon was fairly open, so we started walking until we stumbled into Cucumber Alley. We had no idea this place existed. Pete found himself a piano to play as I enjoyed this amazing oreo milkshake!!
Later that day, we found this adorable Scotch Shop! We swooned over all of the tartan! We did not purchase anything because it was mostly winter wear, which seemed wrong on an 80-degree day. However, Pete and I agreed we would have to return on a colder day because this shop had some great items.
That was short and sweet for our last full day in London. Technically we woke up in London and had one more half day, but I just realized I have zero photos from that portion of the day. So, my next travel post will just skip to Paris. See you next time! xx
