Paris and Disneyland, France: Day 1 & 2

I am embarrased to say that this France travel post is over a year late….

To be honest, I almost didn’t post it at all because our time in France was not great and I had been so bad at taking photos by this point in our trip that it didn’t feel worth my time. There was a heat wave going through Paris, we were so tired and ready to head home, and we didn’t love a lot of the food we ate. Unfortenately, French food tends to be lost on us. I really think we just have the worst luck when we visit France. For our honeymoon, we had a stop in Marseille and didn’t have the best experience either. However, I finally dropped that sour mentality and I want to be thankful for a fun moments. Before I move on, I want to remind you of our days in England and Ireland since that was over a year ago as well!

DAY ONE

On this day, we woke up in London and fell asleep in Paris! Ahh… If only our day started as dreamy as that sentence sounded.

On a fairly hot day in London, we made the poor decision to lug our heavy luggage all the way to the Eurostar train station and then had to stand in a very long check in line and deal with a rather stressful process to eventaully get on our train. We were sweaty to say the least. Here we are smiling through the pain! I had my book out and was excited for the Chunnel.

I know I already warned you but I was so bad at taking photos on this leg of our trip. I have no other photos of the inside of our hotel room other than this small hallway where you can see Pete changing into his dinner clothes. Ha! Why did I even take this shot? No idea…

We stayed at Hotel Pont Royal which was a lovely hotel but I still don’t understand how the bathroom works. Everytime I would shower, I got water everywhere because there’s no shower head or shower door… Haha! I guess I should have stuck with baths.

We did have a wonderful balcony view where we could see the tip of the Effiel Tower but again, I guess I didn’t take any photos of that side of our balcony. Here we are all cleaned up and ready to go out to our first dinner in Paris.

On this night, we had a fine dinning experience at Maison Rostang. I couldn’t tell you a single dish that I ate but it was a unique experience. Here is my cute date rocking a cute mustache.

Then, that wraps up our first night in Paris!

DAY TWO

So, it started off as a joke and then we actually did it… We went to Disneyland Paris!

The next morning, we got up early, hopped on another train, and made it to the park. I did a little bit of a better job taking photos here but the day was a fun blur. A little background on the way, Pete and my relationship work while we travel. If we go to any Disney park, he plans it. If we go anywhere else, I plan it. Haha! It may not seem like a fair share, however, planning Disney trips stresses me out and he knows so much more about the parks that it actually works out perfectly. I have no problem planning every moment when we country hop through Europe
