The last two weeks have been a blur… We started out by celebrating Pete’s 27th birthday a month early and ended it by becoming PARENTS. It has been quite the whirlwind! Pete’s birthday is in August, but we knew a dinner out with a 2-3 week-old newborn would be difficult. So, we had a lovely evening out and enjoyed a tasty chocolate cake at home as a last hurrah.

He arrived four days before his due date and has absolutely won over our hearts. Pete and I did not find out the baby’s gender ahead of time, so it was such a special moment when Pete got to announce it after the delivery. I tear up just thinking about how happy I was to meet him. I can’t believe I had ever hoped for a girl because I am so in love with our little boy. He is so sweet and strong. We are predicting an early walker because our little guy is moving around like crazy.
